Alchemy Eye supports plugin architecture. Plugins extend the
program's functionality by implementing custom monitoring types or
custom types of server malfunction alerts. To install a plugin please:
- Download it from our site
- Create a subdirectory in the \Plugins\ folder in the program's home folder
- UnZIP plugin files into this subdirectory
- Restart both Alchemy Eye Server and Client modules
If the list of plugins below do not contain the function you need, we can
probably develop it for you at a reasonable per-hour rate. Please check out our
custom development section.
Monitoring Plugins
 UNIX Monitor Plugin: Monitors *NIX systems
This plugin will monitor various parameters of a *NIX system (CPU Load,
processor, memory, disk space, swap files, syslog) and alert the Network
Administrator when certain parameters get out of bounds.

SSH SFTP/SCP plugin: Monitors secure FTP servers
This plugin monitors secure FTP servers (SSH SFTP or SCP) and alerts the Network
Administrator in the case that the server is not responding. It can also
monitor a file on a remote FTP server thru a SSH SFTP/SCP connection and notify
the Administrator if the file appears or dissapears or in the case that the file
contents contains certain signal strings specified by the Administrator.

SNMP Monitor
This plugin allows you to monitor a value of an SNMP object on an
SNMP-compatible device. The plugin sends the request on the specified object
value to the SNMP agent. If request fails, plugin sends notification, otherwise
it compares the received value to the value specified in the server properties

CRC32 Monitoring: Checks that a file didn't change
The CRC Monitor Plugin is a network monitoring system add-on that allows you
to monitor files and get notified when a file is changed. Each time this plugin
checks the file being monitored, it calculates CRC32 value for the file and
compares the result with the CRC32 value calculated before. If the CRC32 value
differs from the value calculated before, plugin alerts the Network
Administrator about this fact.

PageGate: Send SMS or pager alerts
PageGate allows for network paging from any combination of the following
modules: web, email, commandline/ascii and (GUI) windows workstations. Messages
can be sent to alphanumeric pagers, numeric pagers, cell phones, PIMs,
billboards or pcmcia pager cards.
You can configure Alchemy Eye to run PageGate on server events, providing it
with the message text including the name of the faulty server, date and time
of the server fault, etc. in the PagerGate's command-line parameters.
